Situated right on the border of North Devon and North Cornwall, Town Farm is perfectly placed for coastal adventures along the stunning South West Coast Path. Whether you're in search of wide sandy beaches, hidden coves, or dramatic clifftop walks, you'll be spoilt for choice.
We’ve put together a list of our favourite local beaches - most are dog-friendly all year round, but a few have seasonal restrictions (usually between May and September), so please check before you go.
🐾 Dog-Friendly All Year Round:

Widemouth Bay – Black Rock Beach (southern end of Widemouth, great for dogs)

Sandymouth Bay Beach – a quieter National Trust beach with stunning scenery

Duckpool – rugged and peaceful, perfect for walkers

Welcombe Mouth – wild and remote, best accessed with good footwear!

Peppercombe – scenic and lesser-known, with red cliffs and woodland paths
🚫 Beaches with Summer Dog Restrictions:

Bude – Summerleaze Beach – dog-friendly, but must be on a lead in summer

Bude – Crooklets Beach – no dogs during summer daytime (check signage)

Widemouth Bay Beach – main beach has summer restrictions, but Black Rock is nearby

Westward Ho! – dog-friendly area at the north end, but restricted in the central zone in summer
